1. Welcome and housekeeping – Gunela Astbrink
2. Accessibility in National and Regional Initiatives (NRIs) – Judy Okite
Presentation by Judy Okite on follow up to discussions in Berlin re improving
accessibility in the national, regional and subregional initiatives (NRI’s). IGF will
highlight the need for accessibility in regards to regional events, and a member of
the core committee of the NRI’s will be invited to join the DCAD as a way of helping
the flow of information re. accessibility. DCAD members are encouraged to get
involved in their local initiatives.
3. Liaison with other Dynamic Coalitions – Judith Hellerstein
Presentation by Judith Hellerstein re encouraging each of the Dynamic Coalitions to
learn about accessibility and to integrate accessibility or universal design in to their
meetings. Judy has prepared a Google.doc with the 12 DC’s, with the idea that
DCAD members can sign up to liaise with specific DC’s that they’re interested in or
already in contact with.
4. IGF workshop proposal (30 mins) – Andrea Saks, Lidia Best & Axel Leblois
Discussion around the proposal for IGF 2020, with the main action item from the
previous DCAD meeting being that Axel Leblois (G3ict) and Lidia Best (NADP) will
submit a joint workshop proposal on accessibility issues in remote online
participation during the Covid pandemic. This will be done on behalf of their
organisations.
