Call for Expression of Interest: Revision of DCAD Guidelines 2015

The Dynamic Coalition on Accessibility and Disability (DCAD) is seeking expressions of interest from individuals and organizations with expertise in accessibility, disability rights, and technology to participate in the revision of the DCAD Guidelines 2015.

The DCAD Guidelines 2015 serve as a valuable resource for promoting accessibility and inclusion in the digital space. However, with the rapid advancements in technology and evolving accessibility standards, it is essential to update and enhance these guidelines to ensure they remain relevant and effective.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Reviewing the existing DCAD Guidelines 2015 document.
  2. Identifying areas for improvement and updating content based on current best practices and standards.
  3. Collaborating with other members of the drafting team to propose revisions and additions to the guidelines.
  4. Providing input on strategies for promoting the adoption and implementation of the revised guidelines.

Timeline:

The drafting team for revising the DCAD Guidelines 2015 will commence work in May 2024. The timeline for the revision process will be finalized in consultation with the selected team members.

Expression of Interest:

Interested individuals and organizations are invited to submit their expressions of interest by 12:00 UTC on 02 May (Friday) 2024. Please include the following information in your submission:

  • Name and affiliation
  • Relevant expertise and experience in accessibility, disability rights, and technology
  • Brief statement outlining your interest in participating in the revision process
